Visit the counties of Holmes, Walton, and Washington. North Florida has some of the highest foothills with the tallest being recorded to the extreme northwest in North Walton County, almost across the Alabama line. Some locals may dispute that claim, and argue their land sits on the highest hill in Florida. We all agree, these foothills offer some of the most beautiful places to live in Florida. Have you ever visited the Emerald Coast or the World's Most Beautiful Beaches, in the Panhandle of Florida? What a fantastic place to spend a relaxing vacation. Just look on any map or atlas and locate Interstate 10 ( I-10 ), it travels the Northern region of Florida from east to west. We are located near Exit 96 on I-10, in Westville Florida, that is 96 miles east from the western edge or state line. Next time you visit our sandy white beaches, call us at 850-956-2100 or hop in the car and head due north. Upon reaching I-10, go under it, and continue just a mile or so to U.S.Hwy 90, which is the original route to travel in the panhandle of Florida. Along your way you'll visit the small historic towns of DeFuniak Springs, Ponce De Leon, Westville, Caryville, Bonifay, and Chipley. Have fun as you wave back to all those passing cars of people you don't know. That's just the way we locals do it here, in the original scenic south.
